Do you remember?

“Do you know what today is?” the woman’s voice carried across the warehouse.

“I almost forgot,” a man replied. He shook his head while his eyes sought the floor.

Small gasps and quiet sighs filled the room as the date was whispered from person to person.

One by one they came out. They stood together silent. Some were weeping, others holding hands or each other.


They stood there, and they remembered.
